EJECUCIÓN DE SENTENCIAS DE LA CORTE INTERAMERICANA DE DERECHOS HUMANOS

Abstract

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights by the American Convention on Human Rights has established provisions to which States parties have to submit to the enforcement of judgments issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the full exercise of their functions as international body that oversees the protection of human rights worldwide. Each State Party, will be automatically bound to abide by the decisions of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, as long as these are ratified through covenants, conventions, treaties and other international instruments that provide protection to non-infringement of human rights, and besides, they can also create internal legal provisions to promote and guarantee human rights within countries. The coercive forms that exist for the full implementation of the judgments of the Court are in some aspect of binding, but not necessarily party agrees to its strict compliance, internal regulations provide mechanisms to enforce it and the way you can carry out the process.
