SISTEMA DE GESTIÓN DE FLOTAS TEBS WABCO PARA VEHÍCULOS COMERCIALES EN GUAYAQUIL.

Abstract

At present, private companies in the freight transport sector in Ecuador have been increasing their formality in organizational structure and in the light of the new needs arising through logistics operators such as Mamut Andino C.A., Transpoint S.A., Galagans S.A. To cite specific examples, highlights the lack of technological tools that improve communication with commercial vehicles in their respective routes, which generate a high dependence on the driver. The most common problems arising from the safety of the vehicle and its load, improper driving behavior, lack of driving skills and irresponsibility that cause accidents on its routes, prematureconsumption of vehicle components and represent a shared responsibility with the fleet manager. At the moment there are monitoring and tracking of vehicles offered by several companies in the sector as Hunter, Carlink, GPS Track, among others, however they are limited in their interaction with the vehicle and do not allow to determine a behavior using statistical data. The services are strictly georeferencing and positioning and basic speed controls. The purpose of the research is to present a complete and tangible solution with reports of the driving behavior of a vehicle and to allow decisions to be made to the fleet manager. The TEBS (Trailer Electronic Brake System) system comprises automation based on the pneumatic brake and the data obtained from the ECU (Electronic Computer Unit) of the vehicle, which guarantee as a result two-way communication with telematics, efficiency in operating costs such as consumption of tires, brake components, and advanced safety both in the truck tract and in the trailer.
