CENTRO DE REFUGIO PARA ANIMALES CALLEJEROS EN LA CIUDAD DE GUAYAQUIL

Abstract

The present project aims to design a shelter and protection center for street animals, living in the city of Guayaquil, the infrastructure and services will consist of basic characteristics to offer the welfare and good care of animals that are integrated into shelters. For some years now, Ecuador has suffered from a latent evil in the streets of its different cities, especially the city of Guayaquil, due to the current urban overcrowding. To which is added the lack of a place dedicated to the shelter of animals and the lack of animal welfare culture results in the need for a shelter center for stray animals in the city of Guayaquil. Therefore, in order to obtain basic information to determine the needs of the project, interviews were conducted by the directors of the main animal protection organizations in the city, since they are the only recipients of information that is closer to the reality of this issue. The result of this research work will be shown through each of its chapters being the main one: the design and the implementation of an infrastructure with the required spaces that satisfy diverse needs of both animals and the human population in general of the city. Managing to solve or reduce current problems in the different areas that occur as a result of urban street fauna.
